HOW BEING EARLY BIRD HELPS A MOTHER


To be honest, waking up early is not a cakewalk for most of us.  But it is scientifically proven that early birds have more benefits than night owls apart from getting worms. Earlier when I was in college and before marriage, I was not an early riser, I hated waking up early. But after my kid was born, I started liking waking up early(I wake up at 4.00 AM by the way). And also it helped me a lot in different ways.

  • Productive:
Mothers need to do thousands and thousands of daily chores. Mothers, who are early risers can know the difference when they wake up 30 min late. By rising early, all the things fall into place.



  • Me-time:
Moms job is not a 9-5 job, it is like the moment you open eyes to you close your eyes. You can get some me time if you wake up before your kids. Only Mother's know how it feels like to have their morning coffee without any interruptions. Every mom needs a break, a me-time. It is better to have some me-time every day, rather than waiting for a weekend.




  • Finish all the work:
When you rise early, you can complete your daily chores. I know if it takes 10min to clean house without kids, it takes 30 min when kids are awake. If you use your time wisely, mornings are the best. I finish preparing lunch and breakfast before my daughter wakes up. She hates me being in the kitchen. Rest of the chores I can manage it after she wakes up.




  • Few distractions:
The most peaceful time you find. Set your priorities at this time. If you would like to read a book, or listen to your favourite music, or watch a video you can clearly enjoy without any distractions. It is completely your time without any waitings or ant distractions.




  • Early birds are happier:
If you get up early and get some sunshine, you can get more of vitamin D, which is the most needed vitamin for mothers. Which implies better mood, happy life!!
If you can finish cooking, no question of outside food, so you will become healthier too.



If you are happy with your time zone, stick to that. Mornings are not everyone's cup of tea. But if you want to improve your lifestyle and be happier, you can definitely consider rising mornings, it makes a huge difference.

BEING SELF DISCIPLINED MADE SIMPLE: 10 TIPS



To achieve progress, the biggest struggle is within us. That is why we need self-discipline. If we are on diet or aiming for weight loss or aiming for good future, whatever the goal is, there will be some days we need a pat on the back for us to head towards our goal. Family or friends cannot motivate you at every point of time; you should give encouragement to you. Motivation can give us temporary encouragement, but self-discipline can pave the way for our goal.
These are the 10 tips to become self-disciplined:
1. You need a strong motive: What do you want to achieve? Why you actually started this? Your goal should drive you till you achieve that. Make a strong motivation for your goal. List out what you get by achieving that goal. Strong your goal, less you needs discipline.

2. Write it on a paper: Write your goals, the halt points and the ways to achieve goal etc on a paper. Here digital devices like digital memos, dairies are not going to work. Go back to the old school. Write down on a paper what you feel about. If possible design a tracker.

3. Know your breakpoint: You are the only person who knows your breakpoint. For instance, you are planning to digitally detox, but you have a favourite channel which uploads every weekend, you are not able to hold yourself when it is weekend, that will be your breakpoint. So you need to create a work for yourself at that time if you have a strong goal for a digital detox.

4. Set the execution plan and a clear goal: If your goal is weight loss, set a perfect execution plan and the main thing is set a clear goal. Your goal should not be like “ I should lose some weight”. It should be “I need to lose 10 kgs in 3 months”. Your goal should be as clear as this statement.

5. Create habits that match your goal:
“We first make our habits, and then habits make us”- Anonymous
Habits can make our lifestyle. If your habits are matching your goal then doubtlessly you need to change your habits.  For instance, if you are trying to crack a competitive exam, and your hobby is to hang out with friends, you cannot achieve your goal. Change your habits that are becoming obstacles for your goal.

6. Keep it simple step by step:
Discipline, the word itself gives a harsh feeling. Self-discipline means love you are showering yourself for better you. You need to take step by step to reach your goal. Make it simple, one at a time.

7. Change your perception about willpower: You think you are weak at times, don’t underestimate your will power. It can do miracles. Yes, you have breakpoints, but you can overcome your breakpoint. Believe in yourself. Many self-help books, videos are available for instant encouragement.

8. Have a backup plan:
Having a backup plan makes your journey smooth. There will be times you become helpless to change the situation. Backup plans will help you every time.

9. Forgive yourself for mistakes: If you can’t forgive your mistakes, then who will? Be gentle with yourself. Mistakes happen, accept it and move on.

10. Reward yourself:
Only the achiever can understand how difficult to cross that step. Whenever you feel you achieved something in your process reward yourself with a small shopping or a dinner date or anything you feel happy.

Your aim must be designing a great self, but not to suppress your temptations for a certain period of time and do as you wish after achieving your goal. Self-discipline is practice. So what are the changes you are going to make today?

A SIMPLE GUIDE TO STAY HEALTHY



Health is a very volatile process that depends on how we live, eat, sleep and even on how we think. Just that we got this machine at no cost, we shouldn’t stop appreciating the wear and tear it goes through because of our routine.
 Being in good health is about taking care of all these aspects which include having healthy food to take care of your body, adequate personal hygiene to maintain the sense organs, stress-free lifestyle.
Some tips of good eating habits that one should follow are:
1. Have enough sleep and stay hydrated.
2. Fasting once a month, as mentioned in Ayurveda, can do no harm but don’t starve in the name of dieting nor develop a sweet tooth which cannot be controlled.
3. Avoid junk food. It affects your health in the long run.
4. Include any form of exercise into your lifestyle to ensure the body stays in shape and healthy.

5. Yoga lays great emphasis on both mental and physical wellbeing and also is an effective method for improving health by reducing stress, anxiety, depression, etc


6. Eat a balanced nutritional diet. Having fruits and vegetables help to maintain adequate levels of calorie, reduce the risk of disease; maintain the balance of essential minerals and vitamins.

 Our body is like a well-oiled machine which can go through wear and tear. It is up to us to maintain it like how we do for that lovely car we dreamt for whole life to own and made it as a reality. Is our body less expensive than those machines that we buy to ignore? Finally, “Respect your body. It’s the only one you get.”

BEGINNER'S GUIDE:HOW TO STAY ORGANIZED AT HOME


Life is so hectic these days. It results in a messy home, messy office desk and messy lifestyle. Organising the things is not only for keeping the surroundings clean, organised home gives a pleasant feel than a messy house. And it saves you time too. Here are some tips to stay organised:
  1. Give everything a home: Whatever the size of your home, give every item a place to reside. Don't let them leave their home. Place them in its home after usage. The top way to get organized is to place them in its place.
  2. Use partitions, storage boxes, cabinets at best: If you cannot find a place to accommodate things in your cabinet use S hooks for vertical accommodation. to be more organized use storage boxes and differentiate the items.
  3. Don't leave the room empty-handed: When you are leaving your living room or bedroom, scan for the items you can carry to another room or to the trash. 
  4. 1-minute rule: If any chore takes less than 1 minute do it right now. If you are in the kitchen, while the curry gets cooked, clean your kitchen table or do the dishes. Use your waiting time wisely.
  5. Get rid of things you never use: There will be many things our home we never saw it for years together. Take a weekend sort out your unused unnecessary things. 
  6. Encourage your family members to be organized: Give specific instructions to kids or husband to place the items in their place after use. Involve them in your monthly cleaning.
  7. Use a notebook or sticky notes: You are not a computer to remember everything. Especially in your hectic schedule, you may forget the todo list. Make a habit to use sticky notes and you can use it wherever you want to remind you. 
  8. Kitchen: Kitchen is the place where you need to be more organised. Kitchen station should be clean. During cooking itself you need to clear the station. Wherever you are working, keep the station clear. It can improve your productivity too.
  9. Plan: If you are organizing a get-together or a party, be prepared with the list and a backup plan too. 
  10. Remember one in one out rule: If you are buying anything, check whether you can give place in your home or not. Practice a rule one in & one out. If you are buying something then you need to take away any other item from your house. You can recycle or donate. It can create space in your home. 
Finally, I recommend having a cleaning routine. this will reduce your cleaning time monthly and forces you to be organized every minute.

10 PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT TIPS FROM MAHABHARATA

Mahabharata is an absolutely breathtaking exploration of the "Greatest story ever told" whatever language it is written. It is called Panchama Veda, for the knowledge, it has delivered. Why it should be read by everyone? The answer is, it is a great personality development book. From kids to elders, everyone has something to learn from it. Let get into this:

1. Parenting:
Mahabharata shows both good and bad parenting. Drutarastra loved his son so much that he could not find faults in his behaviour. And he encouraged Duryodhana, so he became jealous.
Kunti never discriminated Madris sons. Instead, he took more care for them. Likewise, Drona, the teacher for the Kuru clan, taught Brahmastra to Arjuna only, not even his son Aswathama, because he knows about his son. As a parent, he knows how tempered his son was.

2. How hobbies are useful: 
Things we learnt as a hobby can save our life sometimes. Just like the hobbies of Pandavas saved them during 'exile'. Bhima was a great cook, Nakula and Sahadeva have very good knowledge about cows and horses. With these hobbies, they found their living, when they were in exile. 

3. Overcoming the challenges and changing it to positive:
Pandavas life is not a cakewalk. They lost their father at a very small age. Their uncle was not ready to give their kingdom. Their cousins were not in good terms with them. They tried to kill Pandavas many times. Still, they got the positive side of it and learnt to live without a kingdom. During their exile, Urvasi, Indra's maiden cursed Arjuna to become a eunuch. He accepted that and used it during the exile.

4. Handling bad situations:
By reading Mahabharatam, you can know how to handle bad situations. Pandavas were born to a king, but right from childhood, they didn't experience royalty. Right after they got their kingdom, Pandavas lost in Dice game and went to the forest. They didn't sit idle during their exile period. Yudhishthira learnt Aksha Sastra, the study of dice and Arjuna got Pasupatam most powerful Astra required for the war. 

5. Be humble :
When Duryodhana tried to kill them in a fire accident, they ran off and literally begged for food. They were rulers for India, but when time is not in their hands, they were very humble and served a small king Virata. 

6. Be Ferocious:
Whenever they got chance, Pandavas has shown their power. At the time everyone thought Pandavas were killed, Arjuna won Draupadi, by solving Matsya yantra, which is a very tough task for archers. Bakasura, Hindimbasura, Keechaka, all these demons were killed by Bheema when they were unidentified. Finally, in Kurukshetra, the number of the army didn't bother them. They had very less number of the army when compared to Kauravas. They believed themselves. 

7. Don't be straight forward always:
Being brave means not going after trouble. To kill Keechaka without being spotted, Draupadi acted like she loved him. Yudhishthira murmured the truth to kill his enemy. Sometimes being cunning also works.

8. Handling emotions:
Yes, Pandavas also got depressed when they lost their kingdom overnight. But they patted themselves to go on with the situation and learnt what to do. Duryodhana on another side, he didn't handle his jealousy properly. If he did, he would have lived. Duryodhana, Drutarastra had the kingdom but they were very restless all the time. Their bad intentions destroyed their clan. 

9. Discipline:
5 men had 1 wife. Isn't the reason is enough to fight among themselves?  But they didn't fight. It's because of their discipline. Wherever they were Pandavas did their rituals. When they were in exile, to feed the priests who came along with them, they got Akshaya Patra. They didn't have thought "Wait, why to feed these people? We ourself didn't have anything". They respected their Dharma or discipline. Bheema was the most ferocious and aggressive in nature. During exile, he didn't even utter a word without Yudhistara's acceptance. 

10. Advantage of being together
During Ghosha yatra Yudhishthira asked Bhima to help Duryodhana, even though Duryodhana was his enemy. Just because they were brothers and the Gandharva is an outsider.

తెలుగు వాళ్ళ హిందీ కష్టాలు

"దేశ భాషలందు తెలుగు లెస్స" అన్నారు రాయల వారు. ఈ విషయం తెలుగు రాష్ట్రం లోనే చెప్పినట్లు న్నారు. అందుకే హిందీ కి ఉన్న గుర్తింపు తెలుగుకి లేదు. మిగతా రాష్ట్రాలలో హిందీ దే పై చెయ్యి. ఒక హిందీ రాని తెలుగు వ్యక్తి వేరే రాష్ట్రం వెళితే అక్కడ ఎదురయ్య కొన్ని కష్టాలు:
1.  వాహన చోదకులు(car/auto drivers) 
అసలు సమస్య ఇక్కడే మొదలవుతుంది. వాళ్లకి మనకీ ఒకటే పోలిక. వాళ్ళకి ఇంగ్లీషు, మనకి హిందీ  అంతంత మాత్రంగానే వచ్చు. పోనీ ఏదో మనకి వచ్చిన హిందీ ఇంగ్లీష్ మిక్సి లో వేసి అడ్రస్ చెప్తే "నాయే ఆయీ? హిందీ నహీ జాంతీ?" అంటూ మనల్ని అవమానం చేసేస్తాడు. 
పైగా కొందరయితే హిందీ రాదురా మహానుభావా అంటే క్యాబ్ ఎక్కిన దగ్గర నుండి లోడ లోడా వాగుతూనే ఉంటారు. ఆ ఊరి గొప్పతనం, దాని పూర్వాపరాలు ఇంకా ఏదేదో చెప్పడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తూ ఉంటారు.  మనం తెల్ల మొహం వేస్కుని తల ఊపడమే!!

2. నేస్తులు (collegues)
ఇక్కడ ఇంకో దారి ఉంది. ఇంగ్లీష్ లో మాట్లాడవచ్చు. కానీ ఈ హిందీ వాళ్ళు ఉన్నారే! వీళ్ల దుంపలు తెగ, హిందీ లోనే మాట్లాడతారు. ఇంగ్లీషు లో మొదలెట్టినా హిందీ లో కి జంప్ చేస్తారు.ఏదో నలుగురితో మాట్లాడదాం అనుకుంటే వీళ్లేమో ఇలా ఏడిపించేస్తారు.

3. పనిమనుషులు(Helpers)
వీళ్ళ తో ఎంత తక్కువ మాట్లాడితే అంత మంచిది. ఎందుకంటే వీళ్ళు ఒక్కోసారి గ్రాంథిక హిందీ లోకి వెళ్ళారంటే ఆ సునామీ ని తట్టుకోవడం మన వల్ల కాదు. తిడుతున్నారో, పొగుడుతూ ఉన్నారో తెలియదు.

4. సినిమాలు
కొన్ని హిందీ  సినిమాలు ఉంటాయి, ఎక్కడ మనలాంటి వాళ్ళకి అర్థం ఐపోతుందో అని తీసినట్టు ఉంటాయి. డైలాగులు అర్థం కావు,పాటలు అర్థం కావు, ఏదో కష్టపడి వాళ్ళ బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ తో సినిమా అర్థం చేసుకుందాం అంకుంటాం! మన పక్కన వాళ్ళు ఊరుకొనిస్తేనా? మధ్యలో జోకులకి నవ్వుతూ ఉంటారు. సెంటిమెంట్ సీన్లు వస్తే ఏడుస్తారు. గీత లో చెప్పినట్టు మనం నవ్వుకి ఏడుపుకి అతీతంగా సినిమా చూస్తాం.

5. స్నేహితులు
కొన్ని బలీయమైన పరిస్థితులలో మన స్నేహితుల కుటుంబం ని కలవాల్సి వస్తుంది.
 ఇది నరకం!! ఒక్క హిందీ నే తట్టుకోలేం అనుకుంటే, అక్కడ కుటుంబం కుటుంబం అంతా హిందీ ఏ. ఆ ఇంటి వాళ్ళు చాలా ప్రేమ తో మాట్లాడతారు,కానీ మనకి అర్థం కావాలి కదా! పక్కన ఎవరైనా హిందీ తెలిసిన వాళ్ళు ఉంటే వెళ్ళాలి తప్ప ఒక్కళ్ళు వెళ్ళమా. ఇక అంతే సంగతులు!!

ఇంకా కూరలు అమ్మే వాడు దగ్గర నుండి  కస్టమర్ కేర్  దాకా అందరూ మనకి హిందీ రాదని గుర్తుచేసే వాళ్ళే. అయినా తెలుగు వాళ్ళం తలచుకుంటే హిందీ నేర్చుకో లేమా చెప్పండి? అవసరం అయితే వాళ్ళకే తెలుగు నేర్పించే ద్దాం!!!
